Parc de la Tour
Type :
- Town garden/park
- writer/artist garden
Designed in the XIXth century with harmonious proportions that allow for a number of perspective views, this park of nearly 2 hectares in area was creatively rehabilitated in a manner that preserves its natural character whilst endowing it with a literary vocation. This is marked with the areas arranged as reading alcoves, the vegetable maze, the scenic spaces, the immense letters, giant feathers and sets of illustrations of plants.
This sap and ink space is an intimate site that favours meditation and regularly hosts literary events, inviting visitors to invent words and stories. Amongst the most characteristic species present are silver lime, Japanese sophora, horse chesnut trees, Lawson cypress, Nordmann’s fir, Spanish fir, cedar. The park has been listed since 1960.
