Jardin des Prés Fichaux

In the heart of Bourges, this regular garden offers an agreeable walk.
Created in 1992 by architect and landscape designer Paul Margueritta, this garden overhangs a basin where a statue of a fisher girl by sculptor Popineau stands. At the far end of the lawn lined with yew, Pan’s Grove is dedicated to the Greek deity acknowledged as one of the great Nature gods. The water basin is continued with a canal nicely surrounded by a flowerbed.
Take a pause by the open-air theatre, in the shade of Italian poplar trees and hornbeam hedges.
