Jardins et Roseraie du manoir de la Possonnière
Type :
- writer/artist garden
- Rose garden
In his early childhood the writer Pierre de Ronsard roamed this fanciful site and later took inspiration from it to write his poetry. Created in 2003, the Jardins de la Possonnière will take you on a discovery tour of roses: there are old roses in the parterre designed by André Eve, they are otherwise combined with various perennials or contemporary roses amidst the banks of the Meilland collection. It is truly a poetic voyage in the world of roses. The vegetable garden, with old or rare vegetables and aromatic herbs, also joins in with the many colours of its annual flowers. Visiting the gardens is recommended in mid-May and early June.
