Located in the centre of town, between town hall and church, the park is entirely enclosed by walls. Probably a XVIIth century creation, it was redesigned in the XIXth century. In 2000 the design was modified once again, this time by architect Eric Dubouchet, who was able to replace both the kitchen garden and the area devoted to simples on a space measuring 3,500 m2. Only a few large trees have survived the great tempest of 1999, including an American walnut and some ash trees… The interesting character of this park, beyond the educational dimension that the owners wished it to have, is that it makes up a complex that made autarchy possible… at least until the Belle Époque.
