Jardin du Château de Montrésor

This fortress is established on a rocky outcrop on the village hillside. There is an unrestricted view on the Loches and Montrésor gâtines and small valleys running their tortuous course between the scattered forest massifs. The garden lies inside the walls of the fortress.
In this small space with medieval charm, the park presents the beautiful atmosphere of the Second Empire times. The terraces are set out on four levels, going through the orangery and the winter garden. This layout gives the site an extremely picturesque character. There grows a very interesting collection of arborescent peonies. Each tier lets you discover several landscape aspects. From the roof, the panorama reveals a wonderful view on the valley uphill and downhill to the village.
