A MEDIEVAL EDEN

Right in the centre of prison life in the Donjon de Loches, a green garden blooms. This new garden with a medieval inspiration, following the designs of miniatures of the time, emphasises the flowered spaces of the Middle Ages and mitigates the austerity of the castle.
Once through the antechamber, an open space with grassy benches arranged under the shade of trellis with vine and honeysuckle, visitors will discover the place gradually. A wicker trellis produces a visual break before the secret garden is revealed…
