The gardens
A new ornamental pleasure garden now stretches between the château and the Orangerie. Of contemporary design, it nevertheless covers a whole area previously occupied by a French garden.

The Domaine de Cheverny is a seigniorial estate held by the same family for over ten centuries. Cheverny was always inhabited and every generation, with passion, strives to keep it up and also embellish it. Since 1922, Cheverny has also been open to the public and visitors are welcome to enjoy all its splendours and the delight in its Vie de Château. From the English-style park to the castle’s splendid interiors, from the kennels to the Tintin exhibition, from the gardens to the forestry site, its owner invites you to discover an amazing heritage, both authentic and alive.
