Domaine de Morchêne

This 75 hectare domain is a municipal property since 1988. The castle was built in 1904 for the family Colas of Francs. The Morchêne, tributary of the Dhuy, gives its name to this property. It feeds the pond situated in the heart of the park and joined then Loiret in the Floral Park of Orléans La Source.
The whole park is opened to the public and numerous footpaths are so much second-hand of strolls. In the park, numerous recreational facilities are available.

The park of Morchêne was held as site of welcome of a part of the National Collection Iris kept up to here in the Floral Park of Orléans La Source (1875 plantations, representatives more than 450 varieties of Iris).
