This garden of one hectare, situated near Chinon, was created in 1999. It is the garden of the Flemish writer and landscape painter, Elsie de Raedt, and presents an extraordinary botanical wealth. Climbing roses, shrubs, botanical, ancient, modern roses and, around romantic ponds, approximately one thousand long-lived plants, shrubs and rare trees, collections of iris, daylily and asters from the whole world.
This garden surround a host house from 1845. In this wonderful place, we can also discover the house of press from 1750 and a dovecote-madness from 1845.
Elsie wrote in Dutch, several books about roses.
