In an outstanding green setting stands Château du Troussay, built in the XVth century and restored by architect Jules de la Morandière, from Blois, in the XIXth century. Decor of great interest, coming from Château de Bury, from Onzain and from old ‘hôtels’ in Blois, were brought in at this time to enrich the residence. A green carpet is continued with an ancient lake flanked with two XVIIIth century gardener’s sheds. East of the castle, the old kitchen garden nestles within a thick 150-year old box hedge, in a formal layout divided in square beds. The English landscape park invites you to discover its many century-old trees, such as these cedars of Lebanon, blue Atlas cedars, Virginia cedars and a magnificent very old green oak.
